Laugh With God Today by Michael Angelo Lobrin

Like I Said in my previous post about the Kerygma Conference, I bought Brother Michael Angelos Book "Laugh with God Today". It is a happy book about being a Catholic and living a life in Gods path.

Without reading it yet, I can see myself already laughing while reading it because thats what always happen when we listen to him during his talk or every time he leads the love offering prayer at the Kerygma Feast PICC.

I heard he is just about to launch it this Sunday, December 5 but I got it already on its pre-launching at the Kerygma Conference. With  a bonus picture with him and an autograph.

Today, I finished reading the book. Yeah, yeah, It took me days to finish it though it can be read in like an hour or two and it will mean like two hours of laughing!

What Exactly Is Baby Sign Language?

You can start to sign from birth
The sooner you start signing to your baby, the sooner he will begin to communicate his needs back to you. You can start at any time, even from birth.

Signing to your baby helps with bonding
Baby signing is a two-way activity, encouraging communication from baby to parent and back again. Mothers who sign with their babies often feel closer to them, noticing and appreciating their efforts at communication earlier than non-signing moms.

Children who learn to sign as babies often learn to speak earlier
Baby signing can act as a ‘stepping stone’ to full speech, supporting a young child’s efforts to express themselves. Research has shown that babies who have early exposure to signing often have bigger speaking vocabularies later on.

It’s easy!
You can start signing with your baby by learning a handful of signs, such as Mommy, Daddy, Milk and Diaper. Find more useful starter signs here.

Dads can do it too
Often dads feel left out when bringing up a young baby, especially if Mom is breastfeeding. Signing is something baby and daddy can do together, creating a special bond.

Signing is fun!
So many things these days are just plain hard work! Baby signing is fun – and that’s one of the reasons it works so well. At first your baby will just look at you making signs and may even smile or laugh. You may feel silly too. This is good for you and for baby. Parenthood should have as many light moments as possible.


Signing reduces tantrums
Baby signing has been proved to reduce frustration (for babies and for parents), and help children through those toddler-tantrum years. Most tantrums are caused by communication frustration, and if your child can express what he wants he is happier and calmer – and so are you!

Your friends will be envious
When you and baby are out for coffee, imagine how envious your friends will be when baby tells you she’s tired, or hungry, or too hot – just by making hand gestures? Amazing! While other moms struggle through the baby years, you and your baby will be communicating happily with each other. Be sure to share your knowledge with them!

It helps with post-partum depression
The bonding aspects of baby signing cannot be underestimated. But post-partum depression can begin at any time, even during the second year. Many early-years programs teach Baby Sign Language to moms and babies to help build communication and trust.

DISCIPLINE WITHOUT SHOUTING OR SPANKING

Emily is now three years and 5 months old. The age of her naughtiness and some bad behaviors are showing up. Well, as a mom, I need to do something with her misbehaviors without hurting her in any way. 

As a child, I admit that I grew up with a father who spanks me every time I commit a mistake and that did not do anything good on me but be scared to all the fathers in the world. When Emily is on her baddest I tend to breathe deeply and then tell my husband that my patience is already on its end and please get Emily out of my sight so that I could control my feelings when I get mad. 

Theres also this one book that I got and I am so happy with it and I want to share it to my readers. This book is very helpful for very impatient or not so patient moms/parents like me. As I read the book, I realized that there are really other ways of training your kids and making their bad behaviors turn into a more positive attitude. 


This book is really awesome and I would like to thank the authors Jerry Wyvkoff, Ph.D. and Barbara C. Unell for creating it. The approach are very simple yet effective. I tried several methods already and it reall works for me and Emily. Makes more of our quality time together. 


I am so thankful that I found a way on working this out earlier so I wouldn't miss any moment of joy and quaity time with my daughter.

I just saw this video at the World Exchange Forum from the thread of chill and thought of grabbing it and spread this wonderful video from Oprah where Charice launched her First International Album.

Charice has gone a long way and she deserves wherever she is right now. I am so supporting her the best way I could and I hope that all Filipinos will unite in supporting her. Please watch this video and see how Charice told David that Charice wants David to be her Godfather. So Sweet..

This is what is always in my mind recently. Yesterday he bought a Sony Handycam Flash Memory HD Camcorder - Red (HDRCX110/R) at the Robinsons Place Manila.

MISSING TECHNOLOGY

I sold my camera. My Nikon D5000. I realized photography wasn't for me and I am planning to just settle for less. A simple digital camera would be nice. I think its just right for my blogging adventures where I get to capture moments easily and conveniently. Previous photos from my daughters moving up program were shot by Richard Tuazon a freelance photographer and a close friend of mine. He is also the one who bought my camera.

RICHARD TUAZON - ALWAYS AT HIS BEST

A friend of mine is in to photography right now. He is actually the one who referred me to this online store where i bought my first DSLR. Well this blog isn't about my DSLR and not about my photos. Its about my friend Richard Tuazon who followed his passion with this very expensive and addictive hobby of photography.

He bought Nikon D3000 last November to be into photography. Also bought accessories and lenses afterwards. After a month he enrolled in a photography class where he just graduated a few days ago. I tell you he's really into this passion because his works are really amazing!!! Its getting better everytime he posted his shots on his facebook account. And I envy him a lot!!! Hahaha! I am really proud of him!

On his graduation day on that photography class, all of them are required to have an entry to a photo contest. And here are his two winner photos:

I guess it is indeed true that if you follow your core gift, focus on it and you will definitely succeed...

And oh btw, he is going to get married on July 10, 2010 to Ms. Malou Agcopra (very lucky, uhm.. or should I say.... Lucky Richard!! haha!!) and my daughter Emily is going to be one of their flower girls (exciting noh?!)
